blooming: Resistance to washing out/in when the camera is used
in a brightly lit area.
2-conductor wire: Two conductor wire is simply two wires run
together from one point to another, like speaker wire.
CCD:
Charged Coupled Device
Dwell time:
This refers to the switching time adjustment when the monitor is
in the auto mode, switching from camera 1 to camera 2 etc. Same
as "camera switching time".
Channel:
The words zone and channel are used to describe the area being protected
by one of the transmitters in the security system's memory.
Electret:
A type of microphone. Typically has a higher output than standard
dynamic microphones.
F.O.V. :
Stands for field of view. The 65 should have a degree symbol after
it. Field of view 65 degrees.
fl: Focal
length, a standard photographic term for lens specifications.
Hz: Standard
electrical term for hertz. 120 Vac 60Hz is standard house current
in the United States.

Linearity:
Relates to picture quality.
Line carrier:
Line carrier refers to the use of preexisting electrical wiring
in the property for sending the communications between units.
NTSC:
National TV System Committee. They set the standards for TV in the
United States.
Ohms:
Standard electrical term for resistance.
PIR:
Passive Infrared, basically it is a heat sensor, not a motion sensor.
Smear:
Edges of images are not sharp but glare and spread out to one side.
SSD:
In Keepsafer, SSD means sensor status display. The console of this
system has a LED light display for each of the 8 (SSD-8 System)
or 16 (SSD-16 System) transmitters that can be programmed into the
memory of the system. This LED display allows the user to know what
door is open, what transmitter needs a battery replaced and, most
importantly, what transmitter tripped an alarm should that happen.

Vac:
Standard electrical term for volts alternating current.
Vdc:
A standard electrical term for volts direct current.
Video inputs:
Delete 1 intercom (connection on camera). This is an audio not video
connection.

Stands for volts peak to peak, the measurement of an alternating
signal. 1 Vp-p means from + 1 volt to - 1 volt.
W: A
standard electrical term for watts, the amount of power consumed
by the console.
